About Us:
A little about me : My name is Bridget; B for short. I am Irish and have been living in Canada for 15 years. I have a fun, lego loving 9 year old boy and a happy outgoing 4 year old girl. I have been running my dayhome for 8 years and have lots of fun doing it! We are an active family and love to do yoga, go snowboarding and take trips to the beautiful Rockies. I also love photography and work as a photographer on weekends capturing Children, Newborn and Maternity portraits.
About my dayhome:
I incorporate a preschool learning program 2 days per week for children aged 3-4 years for an additional small fee.
We live in Mckenzie Towne SE Calgary.. I keep my numbers small - Max 7 children in my dayhome at any given time (including my own two children), most days there are less than that. Healthy eating is important to me, I try to use as much organic products as possible and I always offer lots of fruit and veggies. Keeping active is also important to me so we will go for lots of walks and trips to the park as well as field trips to the Zoo, Spruce Meadows and lots of other places! We also do lots of outdoor play including growing our own veggies and flowers, paddling pools, trampoline, play house and lots more! During the cold winter months we stay active indoors by doing things like yoga, hide and seek, dancing and other fun activities!
I offer full-time, part-time and before and after school care. I can provide transport to certain local schools and pre-schools.
As a Mom who also searched for a dayhome for my son and daughter, I know how important it is to find someone you trust and whom will love your child like their own. In my experience in searching for care for my children, after interviewing many dayhomes, I knew the most important things to me were that my children were loved, safe, ate healthy and had fun. I wanted to feel as though I was leaving them with my sister or my mom and have peace of mind in doing so. This is what I offer. I want you to feel as though you are leaving your children with a loving family member. I love and care for all my dayhome children as if they were my own. I make sure they have a fun, active day, learning, playing games and making crafts. I offer a safe, loving and nurturing environment in which your little ones will learn and grow to be the best they can be. I welcome parents to call, text or drop in as often as they want to check in on their little ones.
